I take a very broad, strategic view of human resources and have worked in the field successfully for many years.  Most of my recent experience has been focused on talent management, learning, and organizational development rather than on compensation,  benefits, and HR law.

My new job calls for me to be an expert in these areas as well, so I’m creating an Individual Development Plan to identify my competency gaps and create a plan to make a dent in them in 2013.
